Dhariwal Infrastructure Limited (DIL), nestled in Chandrapur, Maharashtra, is a 2X300 MW coal-based thermal power plant. As a wholly owned subsidiary of CESC Limited the flagship power utility of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka (RP-SG) Group DIL marks CESC’s foray into the generation business beyond West Bengal. 🔌 Power Hub Connectivity:
Situated in the western power hub of India, DIL-Chandrapur enjoys connectivity with both state and central transmission utilities: Maharashtra State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (MSETCL) and Power Grid Corporation Limited (PGCIL).
🏢 Technical Building Overview
The DIL Technical Building stands tall with G+3 floors, exclusively dedicated to official purposes. Its total area spans 22,615 sq. ft., providing a conducive environment for efficient operations.
🌟 Challenges Faced by DIL:
During the certification process, DIL encountered several challenges:
1. Measurement & Verification (M&V): Aligning M&V practices with the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP).
2. AC System Transition: Converting split AC units to more efficient Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems with appropriate Indoor Air Quality
3. Roof Treatment: Applying high Solar Reflectance Index (SRI) paint to the exposed roof area.

Conducted Sustainability Audits (ASHRAE level 1 energy audit, water audit, indoor air quality audit, APPA audit, and waste audit).
Engaged stakeholders through workshops, demystifying LEED compliance.
Developed green policies (Purchasing, Green Cleaning, Facility Maintenance & Renovation, Integrated Pest Management, and Waste Management).
